 A letter from pastor Jon Dennis

Dear Holy Trinity Downtown,

As I reflect on the community that God has built in the center of the city and scattered across Chicago, I can’t help but be thankful for each one of you. Paul’s words in Colossians say it best:

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus

and of the love that you have for all the saints,

because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.

God has given you a tangible faith, love and hope that is a daily encouragement to me. More than this, he has made it clear that the gospel “in the whole world...is bearing fruit and increasing.” What a gift!

As we look to the next season of ministry at HTC Downtown, we recognize that we have challenges ahead. But we also believe that, as we depend on him, as we proclaim him together, we have enormous opportunities for growth for the future. Let’s be in prayer that we might lay a strong foundation for the next season of ministry together that will allow us to increase our impact for years to come.
